Archbishop McCarthy has won nine straight games at home, while Varela has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much  on Wednesday. The Mavericks will welcome the Vipers  at 7:00  p.m. One thing working in Archbishop McCarthy's favor is that they have posted at least ten  runs  in their last five matches.
Archbishop McCarthy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Thursday. Everything went their way against Heritage as they made off with  an  11-1 win. The Mavericks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six  runs or more this season.

 Zachary Tavarez looked comfortable as he  tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. What's more,  he posted five  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in March.
 At the plate, Archbishop McCarthy got a big performance out of  Alejandro Cabral, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.  Juan Cerra was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 Archbishop McCarthy was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .478. They are  a perfect 11-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Varela was able to grind out a solid  victory over Okeechobee on Thursday, taking the game  9-5.
 Andy Espinoza looked comfortable as he  tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Yoidi Martinez, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  JC Hernandez, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs.
 Archbishop McCarthy has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 15 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-11 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Varela, their victory bumped their record up to 18-7-2.
 Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging  on Wednesday. Archbishop McCarthy hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season,  having  averaged 0.7  home runs per game. However, it's not like Varela struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 0.5  home runs.
