Softball Preview: Elizabeth Cardinals vs. The Classical Academy Titans
Elizabeth has gone 10-0 against The Classical Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Elizabeth Cardinals will host The Classical Academy Titans at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Elizabeth is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Mitchell a 24-0 shutout on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Aurelia Espinoza made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive pitching appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Elizabeth got a massive performance out of Larissa Wesbrook, who went 3-for-3 with six RBI, three runs, and three runs.
