Mt. Eden has gone a perfect 6-0 against San Lorenzo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Monarchs are taking a road trip to face off against the Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. Mt. Eden is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 40-6, which was the final score in Mt. Eden's tilt against Alameda on Friday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Lorenzo). They had just enough and edged out American 42-40. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Grizzlies considering their 13-point performance the matchup before.

Mt. Eden better keep an eye on Tyrel Mauia. He was instrumental in San Lorenzo's win, rushing for 237 yards while picking up 11.3 yards per carry.

San Lorenzo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.5 points on average over those games. As for Mt. Eden, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Mt. Eden took their win against San Lorenzo when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 27-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Monarchs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
