Football Recap: Evansville Central Bears vs. Castle Knights

Evansville Central extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping them down to 1-7. They were dealt a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Castle Knights. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Devin Stewart, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

As for Castle, their record is now 6-2. Considering they have won three games by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Leading Castle to victory were Nolan McKinney and Boden Morgan. McKinney rushed for 124 yards and one TD on only 14 carries, while Morgan rushed for 31 yards and three scores. Those 31 rushing yards gave Morgan a new career-high. Ben Quach also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Evansville Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 47-7 defeat against Evansville North on the 17th. As for Castle, they have also already played their next matchup, a 37-7 loss against Evansville Memorial on the 17th.
