Football Recap: Somerset Bulldogs vs. Calallen Wildcats
Somerset and Calallen squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Somerset had to settle for second. They lost 49-28 to the Calallen Wildcats. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.
Somerset's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaleb Flores, who threw for 215 yards and two touchdowns, and Qwanell Nesby, who picked up 88 receiving yards and two touchdowns. With the loss, Somerset broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3. As for Calallen, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Somerset does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Calallen has also already played their next game, a 28-21 defeat against Bay City on the 29th.
