Basketball Recap: Lincoln Charter Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Lincoln Charter lost to Pine Lake Prep back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Lincoln Charter Eagles took down the Pine Lake Prep Pride 69-55. The win was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Pride are ranked 50th).

Krishtan Flowers had a dynamite game for Lincoln Charter, going 7 of 12 en route to 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braydon Walden, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Several Pride players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gary Grear, who had 17 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joseph Bruce, who put up 12 points.

The victory (which was Lincoln Charter's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.5 points per game. As for Pine Lake Prep, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-3.

Lincoln Charter is taking a road trip to take on Combine Academy Global at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Combine Academy Global is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.4 points per game this season. As for Pine Lake Prep, they will welcome Langtree Charter Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine Lake Prep is facing Langtree Charter Academy at the right time seeing as Langtree Charter Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
