Football Recap: Platte Canyon Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Platte Canyon's offense. They were beaten by the Forge Christian Fury 38-0 on Saturday. The Huskies lost against the Fury in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 62-0 score last time.

Quentin Torres produced another solid performance rushing for 152 yards and three scores, while also picking up 68 receiving yards and one touchdown for Forge Christian. Torres was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 56 yards. Treysen Eye also helped out with an impressive 81 receiving yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Platte Canyon and nudges their season record down to 1-7. As for Forge Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Platte Canyon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-13 defeat against Englewood on the 30th. As for Forge Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 42-7 victory against Denver Christian on the 31st.
