Garden Grove narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past South El Monte 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Friday.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Garden Grove, bringing their record up to 7-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for South El Monte, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-4.
