Recap: Garces Memorial Rams vs. Sanger Apaches
The Garces Memorial Rams fell victim to the Sanger Apaches''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Apaches on the road and fell 35-0. Garces Memorial's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Israel Robles was his usual excellent self, rushing for 173 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Robles was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards. Marquis Cropper got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Garces Memorial now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Sanger, their win was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-1.
Garces Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sanger will head out on the road to face off against Clovis East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clovis East is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
