Mitchell can bid farewell to their four-match losing streak thanks to their match on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Kimball Longhorns 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Longhorns back in September, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Mitchell got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-30, 25-22, 25-19.

Kate Pieper paced Mitchell's offense, picking up eight kills. Pieper got some help from Lucille Coley and her 14 assists. Pieper was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Despite the loss, Kimball still got an impressive performance from Hannah Kilgore, who had 12 digs.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-24. As for Kimball, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14.

Mitchell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Valentine on the 18th. As for Kimball, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Bridgeport on the 18th.
