Basketball Recap: Southeast Alamance Takes a Loss

Southeast Alamance has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 29.85 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost to the Seaforth Hawks at home by a 60-46 margin. The Stallions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 55-53.

When it comes to explaining why Southeast Alamance lost, don't look at Clara LaChapelle. Despite the final result, she posted 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. That's the most points LaChapelle has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shaniya Paylor, who scored ten points and six assists.

Southeast Alamance's defeat dropped their record down to 23-3. As for Seaforth, their win was their 13th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-2.

As of now, neither Southeast Alamance nor Seaforth have any future games scheduled.
