Osawatomie hasn't had much luck against Burlington recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Osawatomie Trojans will square off against the Burlington Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Osawatomie is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season.

Osawatomie is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since January 18, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Santa Fe Trail 48-46. The win was all the more spectacular given the Trojans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Chargers are ranked 50th).

Jasper Sallee and Tucker Fennel were among the main playmakers for Osawatomie as the former dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds and the latter went 8-for-16 en route to 20 points and five boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which Sallee has scored at least a third of Osawatomie's points. Walker Beets was another key player, putting up five points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Burlington waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 62-40 margin over the Chargers. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 22 points or more this season.

Burlington's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3. As for Osawatomie, their record now sits at 10-7.

Osawatomie took a serious blow against Burlington in their previous matchup back in January, falling 79-44. Can Osawatomie avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
