Wren had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Palmetto Mustangs 42-0 on Friday. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

One reason for the win was Wren's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Wren didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-21 win against Easley on the 29th. As for Palmetto, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 21-6 loss against Crescent on the 29th.
