Basketball Recap: St. Charles Find Success

St. Charles proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 29) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Winfield Warriors 48-45. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-39 back in December of 2024.

St. Charles' victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Winfield, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

St. Charles will host Orchard Farm at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Winfield, they will head out to challenge Mark Twain at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mark Twain will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Winfield surely won't give up without a fight.
