Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Eastland's 12th in Last 15 Outings

Eastland won the last time they faced Tolar and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mavericks blew past the Rattlers 16-3. The Mavericks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Eastland got a great performance from Ana Cunningham as she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jayci Majors, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Adyson Carroll, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Eastland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. They are 10-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Eastland is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Tolar, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-11 record.

Coming up, Eastland will challenge Early at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tolar, they will be playing at home against Peaster at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Greyhounds will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Rattlers surely won't give up without a fight.
