Basketball Game Preview: Dunbar Mightymen vs. Meir

The Dunbar Mightymen will take on Meir in a holiday battle at at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dunbar will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Dunbar took their match with ease, bagging an 85-51 victory over Hancock. The Mightymen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 23 points or more this season.

Dunbar found their leader in sophomore Jordan Wordlaw, who posted 35 points. Wordlaw's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Nixon, who had 19 points.

Meanwhile, Meir didn't have quite enough to beat Carmen Northwest on December 4th and fell 76-74. The loss was Meir's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Meir fell to 2-1. As for Dunbar, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.

Dunbar strolled past Meir when the teams last played back in December of 2018 by a score of 73-55. Will Dunbar repeat their success, or does Meir have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
