Football Game Recap: Sacred Heart/Kaynor RVT vs. Torrington

Their game last Friday wasn't at all kind to Torrington, but their most recent matchup may have softened the blow. They enjoyed a cozy 46-28 victory over Sacred Heart/Kaynor RVT. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Torrington's flat performance the game before.

The match started off well for Torrington, whose offense put up 33 first-half points. Meanwhile, Sacred Heart/Kaynor RVT couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 33-0 heading into the break. Torrington were outperformed in the second half 13-28 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the win. The win got them back to even at 2-2. Sacred Heart/Kaynor RVT are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.

Torrington will be playing at home against Waterbury Career Academy at at 6:30 PM next week. Keep an eye on the score for this one: those two teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up. As for Sacred Heart/Kaynor RVT, they will face off against Crosby. Those two teams have had a rocky road up to this point with four consecutive losses for Sacred Heart/Kaynor RVT and five for Crosby.
