Eastern Indiana - Small Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Quinn Barada Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Rushville was led to victory by Quinn Barada, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Barada rushed for 233 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (113.6) per game. Those 233 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

If the past is any indication, Barada could be in store for another big game when he takes on Franklin County on Friday. When Barada last faced the Wildcats back in September, he rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.

Mason Wewe and Co. Win Fourth in a Row

Franklin County picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Mason Wewe. Wewe was unstoppable, rushing for 142 yards and a touchdown.

On the season, Wewe has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 80 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after nine games last season, he was only averaging 16.67 rushing yards per game.

Gillman Came Up Big in Franklin County's 29-22 Win

Keeping Wewe company is Quinn Gillman, a fellow Franklin County player. He rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 68 yards and a touchdown.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when Wildcats takes on Rushville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats had to take a loss when they last met the Lions, but Gillman had little to do with the loss: he threw for 243 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 93 yards on only 13 carries. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Sam Pavey Delivers Electric Performance Vs Greensburg

The second Rushville player making an appearance here is Sam Pavey, and for good reason. He rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when Lions challenges Franklin County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Wildcats, probably because Pavey had a solid game then too: he rushed for 49 yards and two touchdowns. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Gage Pohlman Turns in Season-Best Performance

Batesville was led to victory by Gage Pohlman, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Pohlman rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also picked up 30 receiving yards.

Unfortunately for Connersville, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Pohlman. When Pohlman last faced the Spartans back in October of 2023, he rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also caught a touchdown.
