Football Recap: Buford Takes a Loss

Buford was the 35-8 winner over McBee when they last played one another back in August of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Buford Yellowjackets were dealt a 56-20 loss at the hands of the McBee Panthers on Thursday. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jakari Holloman was a one-man wrecking crew for McBee as he rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. The dominant performance gave Holloman a new career-high in rushing yards.

Buford now has a losing record at 1-2. As for McBee, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Buford will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Great Falls at 7:30 p.m. As for McBee, they will host Chesterfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chesterfield will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something McBee surely won't give up without a fight.
