Wesley Chapel hasn't had much luck against Zephyrhills recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wesley Chapel Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Zephyrhills Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Wesley Chapel will be strutting in after a win while Zephyrhills will be coming in after a loss.

Wesley Chapel is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Friday. They walked away with an 18-7 victory over Hernando. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Wesley Chapel got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tavion Cousin out in front who picked up 64 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Another signal caller making a difference was Landen Holley, who threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 passes.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Wesley Chapel's defense and their four sacks. Cain Huff was especially locked on to Hernando's QB and sacked him twice.

Meanwhile, Zephyrhills' game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Springstead by a score of 16-13.

Although Zephyrhills took the loss, they still got scores from Saniiyn Black and DJ Pickett.
