Softball Game Preview: Canandaigua Academy Braves vs. Churchville-Chili Saints

The Canandaigua Academy Braves will face off against the Churchville-Chili Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Canandaigua Academy has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 24.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Canandaigua Academy's offense. They lost 11-0 to Bloomfield on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Churchville-Chili came up short against Victor on Saturday, falling 15-9. The Saints have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Cassidy Wilt was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Pozzuolo, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Canandaigua Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Churchville-Chili, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
