Softball Preview: Calhoun and Haralson County Meet with Both Offenses Looking to Wake Up

After two games on the road, Calhoun is heading back home. They will host the Haralson County Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Thursday, Calhoun didn't have quite enough to beat Adairsville and fell 4-2.

Calhoun saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Millie Dyer, who went 1-for-3 while posting 1 home run and 2 RBIs.

Even though they lost, Calhoun hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They have not posted that few strikeouts since the 18th, when they also struck out one time.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Haralson County's offense. They came up short against North Cobb Christian, falling 8-0.

Calhoun dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Haralson County, they have now lost four of their last five games on the road. That's done some real damage to their 5-5 record this season.
