Baseball Recap: Huguenot Takes a Loss

The matchup between Huguenot and Powhatan on Thursday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Falcons lost 25-0 to the Indians. The Falcons' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Huguenot's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Powhatan, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

When Huguenot and Powhatan next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Falcons will face off against Clover Hill and their six-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Powhatan will try to stop Fluvanna County's seven-game winning streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 3.8, the Flying Flucos 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
