Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Ames Little Cyclones, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Railsplitters have suffered since September 2nd.

Lincoln was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Ames work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-12, 26-24.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Ames, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

While Lincoln had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
