Thomasville proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 14) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Salisbury Hornets 11-10. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered an 8-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Travail Barnes was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Barnes was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Luis Bejarano Sosa was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February.

Thomasville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Salisbury, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Thomasville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hornets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
