Soccer Recap: Westwood Takes a Loss

The matchup between Westwood and Palestine on Friday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Westwood Panthers lost 8-0 to the Palestine Wildcats. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Westwood's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Palestine, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season.

Looking ahead, Westwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Madisonville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palestine, they will face off against Diboll at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Palestine's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last four contests.
