Softball Recap: Otsego Comes Up Short

Otsego was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 10-2 to the Bronson Vikings.

Audrey Lingbeek spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cassie Holland made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

Otsego's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Bronson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

While Otsego had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
