Basketball Recap: Erwin Falls to Mcdowell in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Erwin had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 70-44 to the McDowell Titans. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Titans from their previous meeting back in February.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jackson Davis, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 16 points along with eight boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Norton, who posted eight points.

McDowell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jay Radford, who earned 19 points. Another player making a difference was Rae Garner, who put up 14 points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Erwin will take on West Henderson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McDowell, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Asheville at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
