Hickory Wins 21st-Straight Thanks to Brady Stober

Hickory picked up their 21st consecutive win on Wednesday thanks in part to Brady Stober. Stober turned in his biggest game of the season, throwing for 453 yards and five touchdowns while completing 92% of his passes.

Unfortunately for North Lincoln, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Stober. Back in November of 2023 (the last time Stober saw the Knights), he threw for 230 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81% of his passes.

A Season-Best Performance from Tim Folk Leads North Lincoln over Hickory

On Wednesday, North Lincoln had to settle for second even though Tim Folk put up the best numbers he has all season. Folk rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also picked up 62 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run.

The loss snapped North Lincoln's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-1 record. They and North Iredell are set to duel on Monday.

Jamien Little's big game helped extend Hickory's winning streak to 21 on Wednesday. Little picked up 210 receiving yards and three touchdowns, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long.

Little might have his next game, a road matchup with St. Stephens, circled on his calendar. When Little last faced the Indians back in September of 2023, he picked up 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Lawless Posts Huge Game in 41-10 Victory

East Lincoln found a leader in Grant Lawless as the team took down West Iredell on Friday. Lawless turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 213 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 50 yards and a touchdown.

On the season, Lawless has thrown 20 touchdowns (and and only 3 pick) while averaging 239 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 4.5 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 41.17 rushing yards.

Christopher Daley Ii Delivers Best Performance of Season

East Lincoln was led to victory by Christopher Daley Ii, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Daley Ii rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns.

For the season, Daley Ii has run in 6 touchdowns while averaging 86.3 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 37 rushing yards per game.
