Baseball Game Preview: Clinton Red Devils vs. Ninety Six Wildcats

The Clinton Red Devils will take on the Ninety Six Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Ninety Six's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Monday, Clinton got the win against Saluda by a conclusive 14-3. Considering the Red Devils have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Ware Shoals typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Ninety Six proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 7-2.

Clinton is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ninety Six, they pushed their record up to 11-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
