Preview: Sedan Devils vs. Erie Red Devils
After two games on the road, Sedan is heading back home. They will take on the Erie Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Sedan didn't have too much trouble with Dexter on the road as they won 56-42.
In what's become a running theme this season, Erie gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Jayhawk Linn 72-29 at home. The win was familiar territory for Erie who now have three in a row.
Reid Duff and Ethan Dillinger were among the main playmakers for Erie as the former scored 23 points along with five rebounds and two steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds. Dillinger is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last 11 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Michael Richenburg, who scored 12 points.
Sedan pushed their record up to 9-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Erie, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Sedan was able to grind out a solid victory over Erie when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 52-42. Does Sedan have another victory up their sleeve, or will Erie turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
