Football Recap: Sallie B. Howard Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Sallie B. Howard Eagles were beaten by the Wilson Prep Tigers 64-10 on Friday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Sallie B. Howard saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Donnell Ricks rushed for 97 yards and one TD. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 50 yards.

Travon Usher was his usual excellent self, rushing for 261 yards and four scores on only nine carries for Wilson Prep. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Usher a new career-high.

Sallie B. Howard's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Wilson Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Sallie B. Howard will face off against Washington County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wilson Prep, they will take on North Edgecombe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
