Soccer Game Preview: Pigeon Forge vs. Gatlinburg-Pittman

Pigeon Forge hasn't had much luck against Gatlinburg-Pittman recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Highlanders. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Pigeon Forge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over Chattanooga Prep. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Pigeon Forge considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Meanwhile, Gatlinburg-Pittman entered their tilt with Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts on Friday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They blew past the Eagles 6-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Gatlinburg-Pittman's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts are ranked 154th).

Gatlinburg-Pittman pushed their record up to 15-4-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 53 goals over those eight contests. As for Pigeon Forge, their win bumped their record up to 14-6-1.

Pigeon Forge might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from Gatlinburg-Pittman in their previous meeting on Wednesday. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
