Basketball Game Preview: Tussey Mountain Titans vs. Mount Union Trojans

The Tussey Mountain Titans will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Mount Union Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-16, which was the final score in Tussey Mountain's tilt against McConnellsburg on Tuesday. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Keegan Traxler put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted four points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Union). They took their contest on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 67-37 victory over Moshannon Valley. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Trojans have posted since December 22, 2023.

Tussey Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mount Union, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Tussey Mountain couldn't quite finish off Mount Union when the teams last played back in January and fell 38-35. Can Tussey Mountain avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
