Volleyball Recap: Orcutt Academy Takes a Loss

Orcutt Academy managed to slip by Mission College Prep the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Spartans lost 3-0 to the Royals on Thursday. The Spartans' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Orcutt Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16, 25-6.

Orcutt Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Mission College Prep, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.

Looking ahead, Orcutt Academy will square off against Coastal Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mission College Prep, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Righetti on the 16th.
