Baseball Recap: Archbishop Shaw Takes a Loss

On Monday, the Archbishop Shaw Eagles didn't have quite enough to beat the Willow Lions and fell 2-1.

Archbishop Shaw saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Steven Houin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Houin is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Archbishop Shaw's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Willow, they moved to 10-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Archbishop Shaw will take on Hahnville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last six games Archbishop Shaw has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Willow, they will challenge Archbishop Shaw at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
