Basketball Game Preview: Dayton Pirates vs. Amity Warriors

Dayton is 1-9 against Amity since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Dayton Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Amity Warriors at 7:30 p.m.

Last Monday, Dayton had to suffer through a 67-36 loss at the hands of Jefferson.

Meanwhile, Amity put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Jefferson to the tune of 68-38. 68 seems to be a good number for the Warriors as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Amity pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points per game. As for Dayton, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-5.

Dayton was taken down by Amity 72-19 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Dayton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
