            Baseball Recap: Teurlings Catholic Rebels vs. North Vermilion Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            Teurlings Catholic had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  a   10-9 W against the North Vermilion Patriots. That's more bragging rights for the Rebels, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Evan Vincent made a splash no matter where he played. He  tossed 1.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Furthermore,  he didn't allow a single  walk, the first time  he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-3. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in March of 2024.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Ryan Berard, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4. What's more,  he posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in February.  Porter Stuart was another key player,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Teurlings Catholic  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least nine  hits in three consecutive  matches.

Teurlings Catholic's win was  their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 17-3. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for North Vermilion, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
