Football Recap: Columbus Find Success + How To Watch

Columbus won the last time they faced South Dade and Shawn James did his part to make sure it happened again. The Explorers came out on top against the Buccaneers by a score of 42-34 on Thursday with plenty of help from James, who rushed for 204 yards while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 85-yard run.

Columbus' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for South Dade, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Columbus will face off against Miami at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Explorers will be up against the Stingarees' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for South Dade, they are taking a road trip to take on Palmetto at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
