Basketball Recap: Hillsboro Beats Central for Their Second Straight Win

Central came into Saturday's matchup looking for another win against Hillsboro, but Gregory Robinson wouldn't allow it. The Hillsboro Hawks walked away with a 56-44 win over the Central Rebels on Saturday thanks in part to Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 boards. Robinson is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Hillsboro and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Central, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Hillsboro will take on Farmington in a tournament on Monday. Farmington will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Hillsboro surely won't give up without a fight. As for Central, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Saxony Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Central is facing Saxony Lutheran at the right time seeing as Saxony Lutheran is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
