Basketball Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Woodland Beavers came up short against the Columbia Bruins and fell 61-51. That's two games in a row now that the Beavers have lost by exactly ten points.

Woodland's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Columbia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Woodland won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ridgefield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Goldendale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
