Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Johnson County Central). Everything went their way against the Fairbury Jeffs on Thursday as the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds made off with a 70-46 win. The Thunderbirds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Fairbury had strong showings from Jonah Parrack, who posted 14 points, and Brodie Prellwitz, who went 6-for-13 en route to 17 points. What's more, Prellwitz also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was James Martin, who put up seven points.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Johnson County Central, bringing their record for this year to 13-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.5 points. As for Fairbury, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Johnson County Central has already played their next game, a 60-54 win against Palmyra on the 4th. As for Fairbury, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-40 victory against Tri County on the 3rd.
