Recap: Carroll Tigers vs. Gregory-Portland Wildcats
The Carroll Tigers were the 64-34 winner over the Gregory-Portland Wildcats when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Carroll was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 36-35 to Gregory-Portland. Carroll has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Madison Kilgore, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds for Gregory-Portland. Kilgore has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Rheanna Escamilla, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Carroll has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season. As for Gregory-Portland, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 24-9.
Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Gregory-Portland also has no future games currently scheduled.
