Basketball Game Preview: Brooks Eagles vs. Thornwood Thunderbirds

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Brooks Eagles duke it out with the Thornwood Thunderbirds at 6:30 p.m. on Friday... Brooks is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Last Thursday, everything went Brooks' way against Woodlawn as Brooks made off with a 67-41 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Thornwood hadn't done well against Thornton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Thornwood walked away with a 54-44 victory over Thornton. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Thunderbirds as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Brooks has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Thornwood, their victory bumped their record up to 11-15.
