Soccer Game Preview: University vs. Chaparral

University is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Chaparral a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The University Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chaparral Bobcats at 7:15 p.m.

University is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Friday, they were much more limited against Lake Belton on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Chaparral had to endure a four-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ellison on Tuesday, sneaking past 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Chaparral were the better team in the second half.

Chaparral's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-11-1. As for University, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

University beat Chaparral 3-1 in their previous meeting back in February of 2025. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
