Basketball Recap: Williamsport Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Bishop Mcdevitt

After losing to Bishop McDevitt the last time they met, Williamsport decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Williamsport Millionaires walked away with a 73-62 win over the Bishop McDevitt Crusaders on Thursday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Millionaires' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 370th, while the Crusaders are ranked 175th).

Williamsport's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Bishop McDevitt, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7.

When Williamsport and Bishop McDevitt next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Williamsport will try to stop Pottsville's five-game winning streak when the meet at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Bishop McDevitt will square off against Boiling Springs and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
