After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dresden, Union City was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Greenfield Yellowjackets a 12-0 shutout. The Golden Tornadoes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Union City has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Greenfield, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union City will square off against Huntingdon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Tornadoes are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Greenfield, they will take on Lake County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.72 runs per game on average), something the Yellowjackets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
