Tamalpais is 9-0-1 against San Marin since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks will square off against the San Marin Mustangs at 11:00 a.m. Tamalpais will be strutting in after a win while San Marin will be coming in after a loss.

San Marin is hoping to do what University couldn't on Wednesday: put an end to Tamalpais' winning streak, which now stands at three games. Tamalpais never let University onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The Red Tailed Hawks' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.

Meanwhile, San Marin managed to keep up with Ukiah until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. San Marin came up short against Ukiah, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Wildcats are ranked 56th).

Tamalpais now has a winning record of 3-2-2. As for San Marin, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2-2.

Tamalpais beat San Marin by a goal when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tamalpais since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
