Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask El Paso-Gridley). They put the hurt on the Oakwood Comets with a sharp 16-6 win on Saturday.

El Paso-Gridley got a great performance from Landon Raymer as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits.

On the hitting side, Owen Adams was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Joah Knapp, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4.

El Paso-Gridley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .523. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

El Paso-Gridley's record is now 2-4. As for Oakwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
