Two dominant signal callers in Joshua Lennear and Dylan Kelly are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Calvary Chapel Grizzlies will square off against the Cornerstone Christian Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Calvary Chapel is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.

Last Saturday, Calvary Chapel got the win against United Christian Academy by a conclusive 40-20. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won three matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Lennear continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 154 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also picking up 38 receiving yards. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making a tackle and defending a pass in addition to snagging two interceptions which he returned for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Cornerstone Christian waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 28-16 win over the Saints.

Cornerstone Christian found their leader in sophomore Kelly, who rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 229 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt. Kelly has become a key player for Cornerstone Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. 115 of Kelly's passing yards were hauled in by Gabriel Chavez.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Cornerstone Christian's defense and their four sacks. In that department, Joshua Aderhold was the leader with three. He has been hot recently, having also posted six or more total tackles the last three times he's played.

Calvary Chapel's record now sits at 3-6. As for Cornerstone Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Calvary Chapel was dealt a bruising 50-14 loss at the hands of Cornerstone Christian in their previous meeting back in September. Can Calvary Chapel avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
